Details: Hibiscus, also known as rose mallow, is a flowering plant belonging to the same family as cocoa and cotton. The flowers are popular as an herbal tea, especially in Caribbean and Latin American countries. Hibiscus flowers impart a cheery red color and tart flavor. Great as an herbal tea alone or combined with other herbs or fruit juice. Use hibiscus flowers in potpourris and decorative jars to add beautiful color and depth.To use as a tea, pour 1 cup boiling water over 1 teaspoon herb, cover and steep 3 to 5 minutes.
